DEWEY THE SLEEPY COYOTE
This is a story about a coyote named DEWEY who was having trouble sleeping in the desert. His friend , JUNIOR the Coyote, told him that instead of getting frustrated and trying to fight the noises of the desert, he should listen to them and find peace in the ones that meant no harm.
So Dewey decided to give it a try. He listened to the sounds of the wind, the plants, and other desert life sounds, and pretended they were a SONG.
From then on, Dewey loved the peaceful desert noises and they helped fall asleep…ZZZ
Use the next pages of this notebook to draw something that scares you, then give it a funny name or find another way to make it not scary. [ie funny hat, shoes, or clothes]
You could also write a funny song about it.
Side Note: In recent times, environmental impacts have played a significant role in altering the sleep patterns of coyotes. Depending on your location, encountering a coyote during the daytime has become more frequent. These changes in their behavior are attributed to the effects of our environment.
